Home Energy: From Tracking and Reporting to Inspiring Action

GE had a mechanism to track home energy usage, but consumers weren’t taking advantage of it. IA Collaborative visited families in their homes to understand their home energy usage patterns and unmet needs. Armed with that knowledge, we designed a comprehensive tool and digital platform to enable awareness of usage, show how that stacked up against other users, track and set family goals, and remotely control energy settings and appliances from afar.
